Well, I've been in California for two weeks now, and my workshop is ready to go-- all except the forge... On Christmas day I ordered a new forge from NC Tool Co. Call it a Present to myself. My first forge was homemade from diamond plate and a circular plough blade for a bottom and cover with a horseshoe welded at top for a handle (picture a rustic Weber BBQ Grill). While it got the job done, it was still notably inefficient and I couldn't quite get the working temperatures I desired. Maybe it was by design that I simply couldn't fit the forge into the moving trailer from Texas to California, and it had to be left behind...

I recently received some feedback on some orders that were placed earlier this year and from Christmas. One of my customers and girlfriend had ordered a ring and bracelet about six months ago e-mailed me to let me know that after they attended a family function they received many compliments on the Jewelry they had purchased. He also mentioned that he wants a couple of rings made for the couple to match...

I'm a long-time carpenter, handyman, tinkerer - living on rural land. Ayear ago, at an estate sale, I bought an oxy-acetylene welding rig (complete with medium to large welding tips, a cutting torch, etc). I learned the saftey stuff and then basic techniques of cutting, bending, annealing, tempering, brazing & welding. I'm interested in finding ideas and plans for making things that are useful on a small farm, or for the home.
